Enjoy a ferry trip across to Rangitoto island where you will experience a guided tour of one of Auckland's most famous island volcanoes. Tour the island on our 4WD train then walk the final 10-15mins to the summit for spectacular views of the Hauraki Gulf.
Board our ferry from either Downtown harbour or Devonport and enjoy the 25min cruise across the Waitemata harbour. On arrival your guide will meet you and show you to our nearby tour vehicle. Once on board you will journey past rugged lava crops and native bush while hearing about the history and geography of the island.
Our vehicle will stop at the base of the summit where you will walk the remaining 10-15mins to the very top. Take in the amazing panoramic views atop the landmark island, before returning to the tour vehicle for our journey down the other side of the island to our awaiting return ferry.

Tours depart at 12:15pm daily (Monday-Sunday) from the Downtown Ferry terminal or 12:25pm from Devonport.
Tour departs on Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) at 9:15am (and 12:15) from the city terminal and 9:25am and 12:25) from Devonport.

Please allow 4 hours for this tour including ferry travel time to and from the island
Dress Code
Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes suitable for some walking on the day. A hat and sunscreen are suggested as it can get hot on the island.
