This awesome West Coast Sand Dune tour begins with a bright and early pickup from central Auckland. From there we head out on a 1 hour bus ride to the natural playground of the Bethells Beach Sand Dunes.
After a beautiful 30 minute walk through an isolated river bed we get to Lake Wainamu, surrounded by the biggest and best dunes. Here you can feel the adrenaline rush of sand boarding down these massive black slopes that angle into the lake and river. If this is too fast-paced for you, just swim in the idyllic lake, while taking in the awe of the landscape...Picture Perfect spot!
After this we head down the road to Bethells Beach, where we have a delicious picnic lunch before heading back towards Auckland to have you home by happy hour!
