This tandem skydive allows you to experience the unbelievable thrill of freefall from the highest jumping altitude in Taupo! Attached to a professional, all you have to do is enjoy the ride and take in the views. From 15,000 feet you can enjoy views of Mount Ruapehu and the surrounding Tongariro National Park. Giving you 60 seconds of freefall this is the ultimate rush!
Our skydive base is situated on the shores of Lake Taupo. On arrival we will go through everything with you and answer any questions you may have. Then... when we are ready for you we will get you harnessed up ready for your skydive.
Your tandem instructor will give you a brief safety talk, as the main thing you need to remember is to have fun! After the thrill of freefall you then have a 5 minute parachute ride back to earth. Enjoy the scenery and if you’re keen you may get to steer! Landing is easy – all you do is lift your legs up and your Instructor does all the rest.
On the day of your jump, you can upgrade and have your skydived filmed so you now get to relive it all. You and your friends and family can watch your DVD together in our cinema room, and then take it away with you to relive your experience over and over again.

There is no minimum or maximum age, although a child will need to fit in the harness. This can be checked on the day.
Jumpers younger than 18 years old need parental consent in order to skydive.
Personalised skydive DVD and Photos and Handycams are available to purchase on the day. We will show you examples of the types of DVD available and you can make your decision from there.
We operate 7 days a week, 362 days a year, weather permitting. Closed on Christmas Dday, Boxing Day and New Years Day.
Due to the weather dependent nature of skydiving we are unable to "confirm" your skydive until 30 minutes prior to your booking time. If the weather is not suitable, we will reschedule for another day.
Please note that the time you are given is your booking time and not the time you go on the plane.

Please allow 3 hours from your booking time to complete your experience.
Dress Code
Sensible clothing – dress according to the weather – remember it will be colder at 15,000 feet than it is on the ground.
Jumpsuit, harness and all safety gear is provided. Hats, googles and gloves will be provided in the winter months.

Q: How fast will we be freefalling? A: You will be freefalling at 200km/h.
Q: Can I purchase DVD and photos of my skydive? A: You certainly can. Please let the supplier know you are interested. This can be arranged and paid for on the day of your jump.
Q: How long will we be in the air for? A: You will freefall for 60 seconds and your parachute flight will take approximately 5 minutes.
Q: What should I wear? A: We suggest you wear sensible clothing and dress for the weather. Please wear close toed shoes. We will provide you with a jumpsuit.
Q: Is there a minimum age limit? A: Not really, participants must just be able to fit safely in the harness. All jumpers under 18 need partenal consent.
