Experience a drive in a Holden or Ford V8 race car on Taupo's race circuit. This is your chance to actually drive a V8 racecar for 14kms. Your instructor will help you master the art of race driving while you experience the thrill usually reserved for seasoned professionals.
Be welcomed to our state of the art race facility and enjoy a complimentary coffee. After a drivers briefing, its out to the track where the team will kit you up in race gear including race suit, gloves, boots and helmet.
Start your driving experience with a familiarisation lap driven by one of our professional drivers to learn the turns and corners of the track. Also you are welcome to bring one other spectator along for this lap to give them a taster of what driving a V8 is like.
The real racing begins as you strap in for 14 kms of track action as you push the pedal to the metal in an attempt to put yourself on our Top 30 leaderboard. Fly over the finish line and receive your presentation folder including certificate with your fastest laptime and A4 photo.

1 session in a V8 racing car (approixmately 14kms).

All drivers must be over 14 years of age and hold a valid driving licence
No alcohol can be consumed prior to the activities and we reserve the right to refuse an activity to persons who we reasonably suspect to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
Family and friends are welcome to come watch, we have a viewing deck and all facilities are provided for your use.
Drive a V8 Race Car Starts at 9.00am, 11.00am, 12.00pm , 2.00pm and 3.00pm.
Optional extras:
Damage Indemnity Waiver $50 incl. GST.(Limits maximum damage liability to an agreed limit of $300 per incident - payable on the day).

Q. Do I have to have my license? A. No, you just have to be at least 14 years old.
Q. I can take the wheel & drive the V8 car? A. Yes sure, this is the real race experience where you take the wheel of the V8 racing car for 6-10 driving laps.
Q. Do you provide any gear? A. You will be fully fitted out with the helmet, race suit, boots & gloves.
Q. Is the Driver always with you on the experience? A. The driver will be with you through out the experience, you will have a briefing & then one of the professional instructors will take you on a introductory lap & show you how its done.
