We have a very exclusive driver training Course at Hampton Downs trackway, this training is modeled on BMW’s official driver training programmes in Europe.
This course is aimed to give owners an active and dynamic driver experience that provides driving pleasure, education and entertainment in a controlled and safe environment, it teaches you to appreciate and understand the limited of technology and driving skill.
At the same time, it allows you to assess and overcome potential hazards, in particular by avoiding such risks from the start. It is only with this basic knowledge of safety-related principles and the laws of driving dynamics that you can really understand and appreciate the actual situations you will experience on the road and in training.
This course includes thorough theoretical instruction followed by direct application of the knowledge acquired in simulated practical situations.
You will arrive at the circuit at 9:30 am for hospitality and introductions. The day begins with a briefing at 10:00 am and includes on-track activities that enable you to appreciate the technology and performance of the cars and the correct driving technique. By the end of the day you should have better understanding of Vehicle dynamics, braking techniques, Skid causation, basic skid control and skid prevention.
This programme does not involve racing between you and other participants. However, at the end of the day Mike Eady will take you for several hot laps of one of New Zealand's leading race tracks in the latest BMW M3 V8 supercar.
The dedicated fleet of BMW performance vehicles includes: 135d, 320d, 335i, 328 Coupe and M3.
